Due to the
addictive nature of stone carving (or possibly Jenny’s wonderful lunches)
approximately 50% of places are taken by returning students.
The change
for 2012 is that the one day courses have the option to be either Saturday or
Sunday (or both)

To Stonemasonry: 1 or 2 days Saturday/Sunday April 14/15th
Simple Relief Carving
An introduction to stone carving, this is when we usually
carve a Pugin (gothic) leaf candleholder in bathstone in one day.
If you want to do something different we can do that too.
Cost:
£69 per day (includes stone and light lunch) or £119 for both
Lettering
Or Sculptural Project: Tuesday Evenings May
2rd Onwards.

Anyone is welcome on a
Tuesday evening, beginners or experts, to learn or just use the tools and
workshop facilities on their own projects:-
lettering or sculptural. Regardless
of skill level, if you are enthusiastic, the stone, the encouragement, the
coffee, the cake, the advice and the tuition is here. All you need is £10
(per night) and a stout pair of shoes. |

An introduction to letter cutting on Luxford Field Uckfield (tbc).
Chased, incised, straights, curves and
serifs; decorative lettering.
Cost: £10 for a DIY and assisted finished house number
(includes stone)
Part of the Uckfield festival big
